Design & sizing
Your comfort concerns, home characteristics and airflow matter. Prime evaluates the replacement needs rather than treating the old unit’s tonnage as the entire design.
Skilled installation
Your investment covers the people, training and tools needed to remove the old system, protect your home and complete the installation. Access and equipment location affect the work.
Materials & site work
Refrigerant piping, drain protection, electrical connections, supports and duct transitions must suit the installation. Prime defines the included work, permit responsibilities and any separately priced improvements.
Startup & testing

Prime must verify an apples-to-apples match in equipment brand and model or documented equivalent product tier, capacity, matched efficiency, materials, installation scope, permits, taxes, parts and labor warranties, and payment terms. Differences or missing details must be resolved before approval. Once Prime confirms the comparable quote qualifies, Prime will match its verified installed price and beat it by $500 on the written Prime proposal. Request review before purchasing. Applies once per qualifying project; cannot be combined with UPGRADE500 or another Prime discount. Abby’s review is preliminary and does not approve a match, guarantee a price, or book an installation. Compatible controls manage when the heat pump or furnace provides heat. Your designer confirms the equipment match, changeover settings, electrical and gas work, venting and installed price in writing. Available equipment and matched ratings are confirmed in your proposal.
Prime coil-and-condenser replacement projects range from $7,500 to $14,000. This includes a matched outdoor AC condenser and indoor evaporator coil; the existing furnace stays only when its condition, blower and compatibility support the new equipment. Your designer confirms the equipment and installed scope in a written proposal. This is a planning range, not a fixed quote.
Prime furnace replacement projects range from $7,000 to $12,000. We offer Amana ARVT80 80% AFUE and ARVT96 96% class options; specific ARVT96 models are rated up to 97.5% AFUE. Your model, installation access, venting and other required work determine the written price. This is furnace-only pricing, not a complete AC replacement.
Prime system projects range from $15,000 to $30,000+, depending on matched equipment, efficiency, installation requirements and project scope. This is a planning range, not a fixed price or cap. Coil-and-condenser projects have a separate $7,500–$14,000 planning range, and dual-fuel heat pump, coil and furnace projects range from $20,000 to $35,000. Your Prime designer provides the written installed total.

Our tools use four comparison points in this order: 14, 15 and 17 Amana S-Series, on a SEER2 basis. Exact installed efficiency depends on the AHRI-rated equipment match. The 14 point is a comparison baseline, not an offer to install equipment below regional requirements. Prime offers Amana S-Series straight-cool systems and Amana S-Series heat pumps. Your written proposal confirms current availability and matched performance.
