EXPLORE THE COMPONENTS
The inverter varies the compressor’s operating speed to respond to heating or cooling demand. That gives the system more flexibility than a compressor that only switches fully on or off. Actual modulation range depends on the selected model.
LG’s CV engineering manual specifies brushless digitally controlled outdoor fan motors. The fans move air across the heat exchanger. Fan operation, clearances, placement and startup settings all affect sound and performance. Prime checks the actual model’s sound data and installation location; this illustration does not promise a decibel rating.
The reversing valve redirects refrigerant flow so the heat pump can change between heating and cooling. In heating it brings heat indoors; in cooling it moves heat outside. Backup heating and changeover controls are part of the system design.
LG’s CV manual lists a copper-tube, aluminum-fin outdoor coil with Gold Fin coating. This heat exchanger transfers heat between the refrigerant and outside air. Clean coils, correct airflow and manufacturer-required clearances help the system do its job. Indoor and outdoor coils must be properly matched.
LG’s CV engineering manual describes an inverter-driven twin-rotary compressor. The compressor circulates and pressurizes refrigerant through the system. In an inverter heat pump, its speed can adjust as demand changes. Prime verifies capacity, the indoor match and refrigerant requirements before proposing equipment.
COMFORT IS MORE THAN A CABINET
An inverter lets the compressor change speed as demand changes. Prime helps you compare that flexibility with your existing system, your comfort priorities and the installed cost.
Instead of only operating fully on or off, variable-speed control can adjust output. Your selected equipment and controls determine how the system responds.
Compare model-specific sound data and outdoor placement. Clearances, vibration control and airflow matter as much as the appearance of the unit.
A heat pump moves heat in either direction. Prime checks winter capacity and backup heating so the whole system fits your home year-round.
YOUR HOME. YOUR EQUIPMENT MATCH.
LG CV means Contractor Value. These configurations use your home’s ducts; they are different from a wall-mounted mini-split installation.
A matched outdoor heat pump and indoor air handler provide electric heating and cooling through your ducts. Prime checks airflow, orientation, drain protection and any auxiliary heater.
Compare This Configuration ↗An approved A-coil configuration may work with a furnace-based system. The furnace, controls and complete manufacturer match must be verified before a dual-fuel proposal.

Explore Installed Cost and Options ↗The current LG CV brochure lists R-32 equipment. Prime confirms the actual indoor/outdoor model pair, refrigerant and installation requirements before quoting.
CV and LGRED are different product families. Cold-climate, ENERGY STAR and low-temperature claims require the exact rated match; they are not assumed for CV.

CLEAR ANSWERS BEFORE YOU COMMIT
CV stands for Contractor Value. LG’s ducted-products brochure separates CV air-handler and A-coil configurations from its other heat-pump families.
The configurations covered here use ducted indoor equipment. The correct system depends on your indoor unit and outdoor-unit match; it is not automatically the same as a wall-mounted ductless package.
No. Those designations depend on the specific model combination. LG’s published CV air-handler table includes combinations marked No for ENERGY STAR and Cold Climate. Prime verifies the selected match rather than transferring LGRED claims to CV.
Only when the selected A-coil, furnace, outdoor unit and controls form an approved compatible configuration. Prime checks the existing equipment and the manufacturer pairing before proposing dual-fuel operation.
House size alone is insufficient. Prime reviews the heating/cooling load, building details and ductwork before final equipment selection.
An inverter varies compressor speed to respond to heating and cooling demand rather than only switching fully on or off. Actual operating range, efficiency and sound levels depend on the selected model, indoor match and installation.
Installed cost depends on the equipment match, capacity, existing ducts, electrical work, controls and installation access. Request a Prime consultation for a written project price. Up to $1,500 off qualifying non-Amana systems is available through December 31, 2026 and cannot be combined with other offers; Prime confirms eligibility and the discount.
No. It is an educational illustration of the main heat-pump components. Cabinet details, component positions and features vary by model. Prime checks the actual selected model and manufacturer documentation before installation.
Yes. The 30-second Prime video on this page introduces heating, cooling and the complete equipment match. Your proposal confirms the actual models and installation scope for your home.
Keep the exact indoor and outdoor model list, controls and startup records with your accepted installation proposal. Ask for the filter and care instructions, any auxiliary-heating or dual-fuel operating instructions, and the applicable manufacturer warranty and registration records. These documents should describe your selected match, not just the LG CV family. Record any open follow-up and the responsible contact.
Prime checks the specific model numbers and manufacturer match. Family-level specifications do not describe every installed combination.
